The actress gained recognition for her role in Towelhead playing Jasira Marroun, an American-Lebanese girl aged 13 who is thrown into chaos by the U.S. military invasion of Iraq. Later, in 2007 Variety named her one of its 10 Actors-to-Watch. She was in 2009 when she played the powerful Taslima in Crossing Over.
